Integrating personal development processes and coaching into education for teachers and students in the virtual classroom space

The offered research will examine the incorporation of personal development processes and coaching
in education for teachers and students. This field is a rather new one in the world, one that stars
receiving attention nowadays. Still, it is yet not common, particularly in Israel.
Personal development consists of activities that develop a person’s capabilities and potential. It is an
ongoing act of assessing your life goals and values and building your skills and qualities to reach your
potential. It can contribute to your success and satisfaction. It is possible to achieve personal
development by using coaching and mentoring. Mentoring is a relationship between less experienced
colleagues (mentees) and more experienced colleagues (mentors) that aim to support the mentee’s
learning, development and well-being, and their integration into the new place. Coaching, seen as of
the aspects of mentoring, or used as a standalone term, also focuses on the relationship between coach
and coachee to help with the skill development and well-being (Kutsyuruba et al. (2019)).
The research will examine the characteristics and ramifications of integrating personal development
processes and coaching into the classroom. In terms of training teachers to be coaches and mentors for
their students, and in terms of the students (focusing on ages 9-14) who will get practical knowledge
and tools to implements in their daily life, on various fields- education, personal, social, family and
leisure. The research will also examine studying personal development and coaching processes
digitally. The efficiency of this way of learning, especially in the Covid-19 pandemic, is important
because of the changes, the educational system went through.
